Flaming Gorge Reservoir
Flaming Gorge Reservoir stretches 91 miles along the Utah-Wyoming border behind a dam on the Green River, known for red-rock canyon scenery and some of the best trout water in the West. It's a genuine trophy fishery on two fronts — high numbers of rainbow trout in the shallows and channels, and lake trout (mackinaw) that regularly top 30 lbs from the deep structure. Access points include Cedar Springs, Lucerne Valley, and Buckboard marinas, plus the Green River's Little Hole below the dam for fly anglers.
