Berkley Gulp! Minnow 2.5" - Black Shad

Black Shad works for the opposite reason most people assume. Dark isn't for dark water because it's subtle — it's because a black bait throws the hardest silhouette a fish can see, especially looking up at it against the sky. When the water is muddy, the light is gone, or you're fishing at night, contrast beats brightness, and nothing gives more contrast than black. Keep these in the juice and reseal the pack when you're done. Gulp is water-based and biodegradable, which is what makes the scent work, and it's also why a bag left open goes stiff on you.
