Buoyant 1/4 oz. - Brown Trout

The Buoyant is a thicker spoon than most at this weight, and that shape is the whole design: it wobbles wide and slow instead of spinning tight, so you can fish it at a crawl without it going dead in the water. The brown trout finish is a straight imitation — golden flanks with dark spots, the look of a small trout, which is on the menu anywhere trout share water with something bigger. Let it sink to the depth you want, swim it back slowly, and put a sharp twitch in the rod tip every few turns. Most strikes come on the pause right after that twitch.
