Painted Ball Head Jigs - White 1/4 Oz.
1/4 oz ball head jig, painted white. Same round head as the 1/8 — it falls straight instead of gliding off to one side and adds no action of its own, so the grub or minnow you thread on does all the talking.
The extra weight is what makes this the walleye size. A quarter ounce gets down to fifteen or twenty feet without a long wait, holds bottom when wind pushes the boat or bows your line, and keeps you in contact so you feel the tick instead of guessing at it. Walleye eat pale, silvery forage, and their eyes are built for low light — so white does two jobs at once: it looks like what they're already eating, and it still holds an outline in the kind of stained water you get at Utah Lake and Yuba. Lift it a foot off the bottom and let it fall on a semi-slack line. Most bites come on the drop.
